The rules are to critque and not critise, encourage and not disparage and we genuinely try and appreciate the writer's efforts so your whole rant reads like something-that-happens-to-other people. Having said that there could be some bitching here, but not in public since at the very least 10 people some of them new to the readmeet land up and the decorum gets maintained. Sincere praise makes room for constructive critisism and one geniuinely learns and then gets more eager for postings and readmeets. My opinion is that if you d...Hi - loved your post!<br /><br />My opinion is that if you do want to join a group, join ANY kind of group except for a novel writing one!<br /><br />Talking shop with other writers - particularly writers, like myself, who have yet to hit the big time - leaves you feeling either totally worthless (if you believe they are better than you) or smug and superior (if you think the opposite). <br /><br />Either way, it's got to be healthier to join a golf club or a film society or anything, really.
